FAQ

Neurologic recovery questions, answered honestly

Residents receive therapy services tailored to their unique needs, goals, and treatment plan. We coordinate directly with hospital case management. Admission can often be arranged within 24–48 hours of the discharge order.

Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, TIA, MS, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s-related hospitalizations, and other neurologic events affecting mobility, speech, or cognition.

The brain responds best to frequent, consistent stimulation — especially in the early weeks. Gaps in therapy allow neural pathways to weaken.

Acute rehab hospitals (IRFs) serve patients who tolerate 3+ hours of therapy daily. Post-acute rehab at Legacy suits patients needing intensive but more graduated rehabilitation — often with greater functional loss or medical complexity.

Families join care conferences and receive regular updates. We provide caregiver training before discharge, because the work at home matters as much as the work here.
